Thomas Silcott has been practicing massage for 17 years. Primarily an Actor/Musician, Thomas began studying massage therapy during his last year in college. For the next three years he practiced on his classmates in graduate school in New York City. In 1996, Thomas received his MFA and continued practicing massage in between theatre and film productions. In 1999, Thomas moved to Los Angeles and began full time study in massage at CALIFORNIA HEALING ARTS COLLEGE. After receiving his license, he continued his studies in massage taking master classes at SANTA MONICA SCHOOL OF MASSAGE, HOLISTIC HEALTH INSTITUTE and A TO Z HEALTH. Thomas practices privately in the Los Angeles area, and has worked with SKIN SPA in Encino, SPOILED, A DAY SPA in Studio City, and THE MASSAGE PLACE in Sherman Oaks. He has also practiced at two WTF Tae Kwon Do Championship Tournaments, The Los Angeles Marathon, the visiting Harlem Repertory Dance Company, and for CBS and PARAMOUNT STUDIOS.
Thomas is systematic in his approach, creating a unique framework for every session by practicing in a variety of techniques, and mixing modalities to suit the individual needs of each client. He believes that the laying on of hands is a true blessing, but real healing comes from the combination of a practitioner with healing hands and a client who is ready for healing who will truly receive. |
